How To Master Life
In the last chapter we spoke about the importance of integrity, in the sense of all of you being integrated. Once every part of you is aligned and working in the same direction you will become many times more effective and powerful.
The only thing that is separating you from everything you want is lack of clarity. If you stop and analyze all the problems you’ll ever face… you’ll discover they come in one of three categories.
One is a lack of Clarity, not knowing exactly what the problem is and therefore not being certain what to do.
Two is a lack of Courage to believe in your own solution or your ability to carry it out.
Three is a lack of Competence to carry it out effectively.
If you go even deeper you will see that Courage is derived from understanding what needs to be done and the risks involved. Once these risks are minimized and you see the possible consequences of not acting outweigh the reduced risks of acting… you’ll find the courage to act. So Courage also comes from Clarity.
Likewise Competence is the ability to recognize exactly what needs to be done. Many people use the old story of a Plumber who after tapping a pipe with a hammer charged $100. When challenged for an itemized bill, he wrote an invoice for $5 for tapping the pipe and $95 for knowing where to tap. The more knowledge and experience we have the quicker, more accurate and effective we become. So Competence also originates from Clarity.
Our barrier to Clarity is the Shattered Mirror Syndrome. The Clarity with which you see with is a reflection of how integrated you are. We tend to tune into different frequencies dependant on where we are and who we are with… therefore we see parts of one frequency, parts of another and so on. All are fragments of different worlds. So they do not make up a complete and clear picture.
Slugs perceive the world by taking a snapshot of what’s around them every three seconds. So if you put something in front of them and took it away in the three seconds they weren’t paying attention… it would seem the thing has disappeared. With this type of perception it is very difficult to separate cause and effect.
This is the effect that the Shattered Mirror Syndrome has on us. We see something… then we alter our perceptual frequency to fit in with the situation we are in… and so when we return to the previous perceptual frequency… we can’t see clearly enough to make sense of what has happened. Once you consistently tune in to your natural wavelength, you will get consistent perceptions of the world. This consistency of perception enables you to get a clearer picture of life.
When you are always tuned into your natural wavelength you will always think, speak and act consistent with Who You Are. Then it is clear for everyone to really know you. But when you jump from one thing to another depending on the context you’re in, no-one can know who you are – even you.
Achieving this Clarity is the secret to mastering your life. With it you will always know what to do, how to do it and you’ll know the situation well enough to have the Courage to act. Read on to find out how to achieve Clarity…
